History of WATCH High School

World Academy for Total Community Health (WATCH) HS is to help the vulnerable adolescents of the East New York community make healthy choices, lead healthy lives, and advocate for the total health of their families, their community, their nation, and their world.

Through our many partnerships, WATCH HS is able to introduce students to an array of health careers, practices, and principles, and to the variety of career options available in each field. We offer a socially supportive learning environment, and our academically rigorous curriculum can lead to an advanced regents diploma. It is our mission to ensure students access to higher education, and to prepare them for post-secondary opportunities. It is our hope that as a result of their high school experience, our graduates will become activists for a better world.

WATCH HS was founded in 2004 to be dedicated to the promotion of "Total Health": practices that develop their intellectual, social, emotional, physical, spiritual and environmental health, thereby leading to academic success and positive youth development.
