About WATCH High School
Mission Statement
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
WATCH High School was founded in 2004 to be dedicated to the promotion of "Total Health": practices that develop their intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and environmental health, thereby leading to academic success and positive youth development. Through our many partnerships, WATCH introduces students to an array of health careers, practices, and principles, and to the variety of career options available in each field. We offer a socially supportive learning environment and an academically rigorous curriculum that can lead to an advanced regents diploma. It is our mission to ensure students access to higher education, and to prepare them for post-secondary opportunities. It is our hope that as a result of their high school experience, our graduates will become activists for a better world; to make healthy choices, lead healthy lives, and advocate for the total health of their families, their community, their nation, and beyond.
A Proud Future Ready School
World Academy for Total Community Health (WATCH) High School is a proud participant in FutureReady NYC which provides New York City public school students' access to career exploration in health care. This program gives students access to early college credits and industry valued credentials, while also providing opportunities for career-connected coursework and work experience, and support in building personalized college and career plans.
OUR PARTNERS
WATCH High School is proud of its many partnerships, including those with the New York City Department of Education, New Visions for Public Schools, the Brownsville Multi-Service Family Health Center and New Visions for Public Schools, among others, and for the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
